Privacy Policy
Last updated: August 9, 2026
This policy describes how 201 Walnut St ("we," "us"), a self-managed residential rental property in Grand Forks, North Dakota, collects and uses information through this tenant and landlord portal.
Information we collect
- Account information — name, email address, phone number (optional), and role (tenant or landlord).
- Lease information — unit assignment, rent and deposit amounts, lease start/end dates, and lease status.
- Payment redirection — this app does not collect or store payment card, bank account, or other payment credential information. Rent payment is handled entirely by Baselane, a third-party payments platform; this app only links out to your Baselane payment page.
- Maintenance requests — descriptions, priority, status, and any related notes you submit.
- Messages — the content and timestamps of messages exchanged between tenant and landlord through the portal.
How we use this information
Information is used solely to operate the rental relationship: managing your lease, responding to maintenance requests, communicating with you, and directing you to Baselane to pay rent. We do not use your information for advertising, and we do not sell, rent, or trade your information to third parties.
Cookies
This app uses a single strictly-necessary cookie to keep you signed in (your session). It does not use analytics, advertising, or tracking cookies of any kind, and does not embed third-party trackers. Because no non-essential cookies are used, no cookie consent banner is shown. If that ever changes — for example, if analytics is added in the future — a consent mechanism will be added before any such cookie is set.
Data retention
We retain your account, lease, maintenance, and message information for the duration of your tenancy and for a reasonable period afterward, as needed for legal, tax, and recordkeeping purposes. You may request deletion of your account information after your tenancy ends, subject to any records we are required to keep by law.
Who can see your information
Your lease, maintenance requests, and messages are visible to you and to the landlord. Tenants cannot see other tenants' leases, maintenance requests, or messages.
Governing law
This policy is governed by the laws of the State of North Dakota.
Contact
Questions about this policy or your information can be sent to your landlord directly through the Messages page in this app.
